Do wiper blades need to be replaced when they are old? When is the best time to replace them?

Do wiper blades need to be replaced when they age? Of course they must be replaced, otherwise it is easy to cause car accidents on rainy days. In order to improve the driving safety factor, wiper blades must be replaced when they age. So, how often do we usually replace wiper blades? Do we have to wait until they age before replacing them?
Generally speaking, the life of wipers is only about one year. This is because rubber is very easy to age, so wiper blades are mostly replaced once a year or so. Of course, if you pay more attention to it in normal use, it can be about one and a half years, but it still depends on the working condition of the wiper to determine whether to replace it. Generally speaking, as long as the wiper blades do not wipe clean, there is no mandatory regulation on the replacement time of wiper blades. Under the sun exposure in summer and the cold invasion in winter, the aging of wiper blades will accelerate and crack. When you find residual stains, strip marks, shaking and abnormal noises on the glass when using wipers, you need to replace the wipers.
Here are some reasons that easily cause the aging of wiper blades:
1. Wear of the blade by rain and (sand, mud, dust, foreign matter) in the air;
2. Corrosion of the bracket coating by rain and cleaning fluid (containing acid or alkali);
3. Corrosion of the rubber strip by rain and cleaning fluid (containing acid or alkali);
4. Paraffin or automobile exhaust (oil); (produces shaking and pollution)
5. Cold and low temperature (snow, ice); (makes the rubber strip hard and brittle)
6. High temperature (windshield, sunlight), causing cracking and hardening of rubber;
7. Rubber strip damage (ultraviolet rays, ozone);
8. Long-term pressure on the rubber strip caused by rocker arm pressure;
9. Ultraviolet rays in the UV spectrum of sunlight, as well as temperature and humidity, cause discoloration, brightness/strength reduction, cracking, peeling, powdering, and oxidation of the bracket coating;
10. Countless back and forth cycles, normal wear and fatigue of the rubber strip.
